Equipped with face-detection auto exposure and advanced AI tracking technology, the camera automatically keeps presenters and performers perfectly framed, reducing the need for manual camera operation. With flexible connectivity including HDMI, 3G-SDI, USB, and IP streaming, the Astra P1 easily integrates into modern production and streaming systems.
Advanced Imaging Performance
Designed for professional video production, this PTZ camera features a 1/1.8" high-quality CMOS sensor with an effective 8.42MP resolution for capturing detailed 16:9 footage. The integrated 30x optical zoom lens offers a versatile focal range of 7.1mm to 210mm, allowing operators to frame subjects accurately from a distance. With a wide aperture range of f/1.6 to f/5.19 and minimum illumination of just 0.5 Lux, it delivers reliable image quality across a variety of lighting conditions, while maintaining a signal-to-noise ratio of ≥55dB for cleaner video output.
Flexible Video Output and PTZ Control
Supporting professional video workflows, the camera provides HDMI and 3G-SDI outputs with resolutions up to 4K UHD at 60fps via HDMI, alongside Full HD and HD formats for versatile production setups. Its advanced pan and tilt mechanism delivers smooth movement with a ±170° pan range and -30° to +90° tilt range, while variable pan and tilt speeds allow precise positioning. With up to 255 preset positions and 0.1° preset accuracy, operators can quickly switch between camera angles during live productions.
Professional Connectivity and Streaming
Built for modern broadcast and streaming environments, the camera includes HDMI 2.0, 3G-SDI, USB, audio input/output, RS232, RS485 and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity. It supports H.264, H.265 and MJPEG video compression, with network streaming compatibility including NDI|HX3, RTSP, RTMP, SRT, HTTP, TCP/IP and multicast protocols. Supporting resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 for the main stream, it integrates seamlessly into professional production, recording and remote broadcasting workflows.
Reliable Design for Multiple Applications
Powered via DC 12V or PoE+, with a maximum power consumption of 18W, this compact PTZ camera is designed for dependable operation in professional environments. Its durable construction supports operating temperatures from 0°C to 40°C and storage temperatures from -40°C to 60°C, while its 169 x 188 x 226mm dimensions and approximately 2.3kg weight make it suitable for flexible installation. Ideal applications include houses of worship, live events, corporate presentations, education, conference rooms, sports production, broadcast studios and hybrid streaming environments.

All deliveries within Australia are facilitated by Australia Post, Startrack or other courier services depending on the method you select during checkout and the dimensions/weight of the package. Generally, we dispatch within 24 hours of receiving your order unless otherwise stated. We have a quick turnaround time on postage and handling. Tracking numbers are issued via our automated e-mail system, however, if you do not receive your tracking number, please message our helpful staff and we'll attempt to provide as much information regarding your order as possible.
Please allow between 2-7 business days for standard deliveries to metro* areas and capital cities. For suburbs outside metro areas please allow an additional 2-5 business days for delivery. *Metro capital cities include: Sydney, Canberra, Wollongong, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, Hobart or Darwin.
All products are covered by an Australian 12 month warranty. This can be either a manufacturer's warranty or a Hypop warranty depending on the product's origin. The warranty covers manufacturers faults, defects, parts and labour. This means that any fault that is deemed to be due to manufacturing will be covered by the warranty for any parts and labour required to fix it. In some cases when the cost of repair outweighs that of a replacement, a suitable replacement product may be offered. These products are not covered by our 12 month warranty as these products are susceptible to regular wear-and-tear and can get damaged for a variety of reasons not deemed as a manufacturer's fault. If these products are faulty or DOA please notify us within 7 days for a replacement. PLEASE NOTE: *This excludes Light Bulbs, Cotton Muslin Backdrops, Paper Backdrop Rolls, Batteries, Consumable Products and Travel Carry Bags included with our kits. DEMO STOCK: All demo stock items are sold 'as-is' and come with a standard 12 month warranty.
