Aputure Amaran HR672 LED Light
Hypop Official Review
Here at Hypop, we pride ourselves on our selection of quality brands. The Aputure Amaran range is an affordable yet professional step into the world of video lighting. Today we’re reviewing the new HR672 LED light panel.
Like its AL-528 predecessor the first thing you will notice its slim and durable design. Approximately the size of an iPad, Aputure have announced that it is about 30% thinner than competitor LEDS - which is perfect for portability.
The HR672 LED features 672 bulbs that encompasses new colour rendering index (CRI 95+) technology. It provides the ability to measure a light source to reproduce the colours of various objects and subject accurately with an ideal or natural light source. At an impressive 5500K, what you see if what you get!
Another new feature is the wireless remote control system (included). You will be able to control the HR672 LED panel within 100 meters, which is handy for quick adjustments at a fast paced shoot. As an added bonus, Aputure have supplied 2 x NP-F970 batteries with every HR-672 unit.
What’s in the box? The HR672 LED light comes with a swivel mount, 18V power supply, power cord, diffuser panel, remote control, 2x NP-F970 batteries, warming panel, spare LEDs, instructions and a very compact carry bag to easily hold everything listed.
The HR672 comes in two models, with the third spot-light model TBA:
We tested absolutely no flicker in any instance. Like the AL-528 the HR672 very simple to operate and extremely user friendly. We also found that the panels did not overheat, due to its use of natural heat dissipation – which is natural and safe, another plus! So if you’re looking for an affordable and reliable video lighting solution, we highly recommend the Aputure Amaran range.
